Quality and testing

Verification, not design alone, makes a protection panel. Type tests are completed in our own laboratory, KEPCO certified tests follow, supplier qualification is registered, and only then do products ship.

In-house test laboratory

Type and factory acceptance tests of IEDs and panels are carried out at the Incheon headquarters. Faults are reproduced with a power system simulator to verify protection behaviour; environmental and EMC tests are run with accredited institutes.

Verification process

  1. Design reviewProtection scheme, ratings and interfaces are confirmed against the customer specification.
  2. Type testFunction, performance, environmental and EMC tests on a representative prototype, with reports.
  3. Certified test and qualificationKEPCO equipment tests are passed and supplier qualification registered per product type.
  4. Factory acceptance testInsulation, operation and communication tests on every unit before delivery.
  5. CommissioningSystem integration tests and protection coordination on site, then handover.

Certifications

We operate quality (ISO 9001), environmental (ISO 14001) and occupational health and safety (ISO 45001) management systems, and hold KEPCO KTP certification and two New Excellent Product (NEP) certifications.
